The Marina Bay MRT Station (NS27/CE2/TE20) is located in the Downtown Core at 23 Park Street, Singapore. It’s an underground Mass Rapit Transit station that consists of 4 tracks and 2 platform levels until the Thomson East-Coastline is fully built in 2021. It is a southern terminal of North South Line. This was first opened last November 4 of 1989 for North South Line and January 14 of 2012 for the Circle Line. It is currently operated by the SMRT Trains or the SMRT Corporation. It is beautifully designed with modern style by Aedas, an international architectural firm.
It was called before as Telok Ayer Basin and Marina South station.
This station has also a connection of bus services for a nearby traveling to some other parts of the city and also comes up with a bicycle facility.
The station is well ready for an encounter from danger as the Marina Bay MRT station participated is the Exercise Northstar V, an exercise where Singapore where they prevent terrorism to minimize damage attacks from terrorists. It involves medical readiness, security changes in border and infrastructure, internal security, and psychological preparedness.
With its obvious name of the station, most of the tourists mistakenly drop off here instead of the Bayfront station to get to Marina Bay Sands where the new launch condo Marina One Residences is located as well as other Orchard condo for sale nearby Orchard Road.
